The Offshore Technical Co-ordinator will report directly to the Offshore Construction Supervisor.

The Technical Coordinator whose responsibilities will be to manage and coordinate all mechanical completion activities in a structured and orderly manner in line with the integrated construction and commissioning schedule. Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Co-ordination of receipt and back loading of all construction tools, hires and equipment.
  • Adherence to the Change Management process (site queries).
  • To ensure that all onshore work preparation and documentation (workpacks) is in place prior to construction start.
  • To ensure that all materials and tooling required for specific tasks are available on site prior to commencement with reference to the lookahead plan and through liasion with the drilling materials co-ordinator.
  • To prepare all daily construction team and vendor timesheets, for transmittal to onshore cost centre ensuring timesheets are correctly coded to correct job code or applicable NPT code.
  • To complete weekly NPT summary across all WBS codes.
  • To contribute to safe and effective site execution of all construction and commissioning activities.
  • To assist the OCS in ensuring that the build sequence, workpacks and jobcards are defined and available to all parties involved in the construction process.
  • To interface with onshore workpack engineers to ensure that all necessary design constructability checks and reviews have been carried out.
  • To prepare the offshore daily construction report and distribute to all parties for basis of daily conference calls.
  • To attend the offshore daily conference calls providing input to relevant areas of responsibility (workpack, timesheets, NPT etc.)
  • Core Competencies
  • Understands material / equipment certification compliance requirements
  • Capable of verifying inspection & certification requirements with design deliverables.
  • Familiar with Archer PO requirements and can verify against goods in/out.
  • Offshore deck management storage requirements (in line with Archer/Client/installation requirements).
  • Familiarity with Completions Management Systems (GOC)
  • Familiarity with ISSOW system
  • High level of computer system literacy


Experience, Offshore & Educational Requirements

In Equivalent Role:                        5 yrs

Drilling Contractor Experience:      3 yrs preferred but not essential

Oil & Gas Sector Experience:        5 yrs minimum

Offshore Certificates:                    OPITO Medical survival and medical & MIST

Academic Qualifications:               A recognised engineering or trade qualification is advantageous. Equivalent experience in the upstream Oil & Gas sector is acceptable with a CV that shows appropriate career/role progression.
