This role will be required to:

  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure that all project work complies with and is delivered to the requirements of the Archer Project Execution Model (PEM), associated RACI Chart; and Technical Execution Model (TEM) where appropriate.
  • Manage the kick-off, design, engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of assigned work scopes through Archer Engineering and Drilling Maintenance. Ensuring solutions are safe, fit-for-purpose and adhere to the project budget and schedule.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as defined in the project communications plan including ad-hoc Vendor or Client meetings as and when necessary.
  • Support the primary interfaces with Engineering, Drilling Maintenance, Construction and 3rd Party Vendors at a detailed level to ensure that schedules, budgets and priorities are appropriately managed.
  • Providing contingency support and continuity of project knowledge as a delegate to the Project Manager role.
  • Preparation of cost, time , resource (CTR) estimates for the monitoring, control and reporting of the cost and schedule through the Project life.
  • Adhere to the Archer Management of Change process across all Projects under remit.
  • Continually update the Project Planning Engineer with current status and requirements. Ensure that the project adheres to Clients offshore planning gate requirements.
  • Review of cost and planning data in order to optimise activities or to identify any delay or conflicts within schedule, and to identify these to Project Manager and Cost Engineer.
  • Identify increase or reduction in scope, raising the necessary support documentation within the Management of Change process (commercial, technical, quality).
  • Updating and administration of the various Project Risk, Action and Interfaces trackers.

  • High computer literacy with experience of industry standard document control systems.
  • Experience, Offshore & Educational Requirements

In Equivalent Role:                        5 yrs

Drilling Contractor Experience:      5 yrs preferred

Oil & Gas Sector Experience:        10 yrs

Offshore Certificates:                    UK and/or Norwegian medical and survival

Academic Qualifications:               Engineering Degree, Chartered Status and Project Engineering qualifications are preferred. Equivalent experience in the upstream Oil & Gas sector is acceptable with a CV that shows appropriate career progression.
